Over 400 tabs have been constructed and over 400 buttons have been hand sewn into place to create this confusion of cogs and paths all over this surface.  Canvas oil painted repeating the surface design of the textiles extends beyond the outer edge.  Likewise a clay bowl container has been similarly painted with oils.
